Not sure if I explained that right Ideally a b lanket that you could just take a single wipe or shake outside. I'm a man so my knowledge on soft furnishing materials is limited

Program Oral Suspension Treatment
Have two cats both 10 months old, male is 5+kg, female Bree is 3.1 kg I've been thinking of changing their flea treatment to Program Oral Suspension, I know it is a little more expensive but if it cuts down on the monthly treatments then fine. Problem is the choices of treatment is (a) "Small c...

The Cat And The Fox
This morning calling cats in before going out to town Barley our 8 1/2 month old male came sauntering through the back garden reluctantly and in tow was a young fox, there was no threatening behaviour from the fox towards Barley, and Barley seemed unconcerned with the fox's presence either. It appea...

Re: Kitten keeps pulling vet collar off.
Got the collar clic sorted, bought a proper small collar for her from pet shop, threaded it through the collar clic. She fought for about ten minutes trying to get it off then gave up when she realised it was not going to happen. Had her up at the vet this morning and she is quite pleased the way th...

Funny you mention that, my wife said that is exactly how she felt when she had hers.imagine a woman running about and climbing and jumping a couple of days after a hysterectomy, but a cat will!

Re: Kitten keeps pulling vet collar off.
Thanks Lilith, she has taken to splashing both front paws in her water bowl and splashing it everywhere like a child who can't resist jumping in puddles, I think she did it to spite us   . I've posted a link below showing her big bro' looking after her earlier on while she was still feelin...

Kitten keeps pulling vet collar off.
Our 6 month old Bree was spayed at the vet this morning and she is now getting back to her mischievous self, she came home with a 10cm collar click. All was fine until tonight she has managed to get it off, each time I put it back on her it's off again in less than three minutes. I tried tightening ...

A nice surprise for me stepping out the bedroom this morning, bit's Barley's of poo on the floor everywhere. On laminate flooring and carpet in the hallway. It looks like what I would call a dingleberry, :o a bit of poo that sticks and won't go where it is supposed to, I'm sure us humans get them oc...

Kittens sharing same litter box
I am wondering if my two 5 mth old sibling kittens will ever have a preference on which litter box they use. I have two decent sized boxes and they both get used but also shared. Sometimes one kitty will wait outside a box until the sibling has finished his business then go into the box that has jus...

I have noticed my vet sells Pre-neutered dry food for kittens, what is the difference between pre-nuetered dry food and ordinary dry kitten food you would buy in a store? Now that my 17 week old kitten has been spayed should I be feeding him any different? He has been on a wet food diet since he lef...

She puts on between 10 and 15 grams per week, I weigh them both weekly. Her feeding has changed a little over the past few days, usually she wont eat much mor...

How Often Do You Wash Litter Trays?
Just wondering how often you guys wash the inside of litter trays. I use Catsan clumping litter and litter tray is emptied of clumps and poo two or three times a day, I'm sure I read somewhere (I maybe wrong) a complete change of clumping litter every two or three weeks and washing the inside of cov...

I eventually took a chance on https://boughtbymany.com lifetime insurance, I know their new kids on the block so hopefully they turn out OK. All sorted now, apparently they had to get agency staff in during recent bad weather who were not used to their system. Good news is they told me just to keep the 15L bag of Catsan Ultra clumping LItter which is a bonus as it is the same stuff I use anyway :D New litter box arrived later in ok condi...

Re: Settling in advice please
I'm no expert I can only say my two kittens when we got them would hide under the chairs or sideboard especially if a stranger (to them) came to the house. Took them about a week to become confident in their surroundings, now three weeks later they run about 90 mph round the house during their mad h...

Didn't know that about Animal Friends, anyone know how Tesco is for paying out?
Their prices for the £4000 lifetime cover seems reasonable for two cats.

Looking for a bit advice on cat insurance. Firstly I've never insured a animal before as last cat was over 30 years ago, I don't think insurance was as available then as it is today also the two kittens I have are non-pedigree types, moggies and cost £40.00 each, mother's owner was looking only for ...

Thanks for the suggestions. They have been getting fed three times a day and I've now upped their meals to 50 grams per meal, they finish their meals completely. The pair of them occasionally like to sit inches away from the gas fire staring into it, only the fireguard stops them from touching the hot parts and burning themselves. Any sugge...
