Re: Milla is way too hyper, like extremely hyper

Where did I say that I expect this cat to be the same as the previous ones? I consider animals to be individuals too and understand they each have their own personalities and traits, quirks and everything, same as us people. Also where did I say that I value the boxes with wires over the cat? Seriou...

Re: Milla is way too hyper, like extremely hyper

Thanks I don't find it irritating or annoying at all, I'm glad she is active because I know that means she is well. Problem is she gets very rough and very aggressive when playing and forgets herself, so it's a bit...scary at times. As for the balcony, I'd rather just have a new, more secure sturdy ...

Re: Well that didn't take long, I got me a new cat...

She eats wet food, so that's a good thing I guess and also eats some dry sometimes but isn't a big fan of that. I still have that paranoia over whether she drinks enough water or not but given her hyperactivity and the fact that she mostly eats wet food I'd say she probably gets enough liquid inside...

Re: Well that didn't take long, I got me a new cat...

Thanks guys until I got Mila I had nightmares about Anastasia's dying days literally every night, now they're gone. On the spaying issue, if it's not harmful to her health I will wait simply to maintain a good relationship with the vet, the vet said her first heat is probably going to be barely noti...

Well that didn't take long, I got me a new cat...

Of course me being the overly emotional guy that I am this doesn't mean I'm over the loss of the one before her nor does it mean the new one is a replacement for my dear Anastasia, but I just really really needed my life to get back to normal if you know what I mean, I just couldn't get used to it a...

Re: How do I cope with losing pets - long read, I need hep :

Thanks oh and don't worry, I didn't make ...that... decision, she wasn't put down neither the vet nor we wanted to do it, the poor guy tried everything he could and he didn't even want to be paid at the end because he failed to save her. vets here might not be all that competent but they postpone pu...

well that didn't end well :( I can not remember if she passed yesterday or the day before due to stress but yeah that was it. thanks for the support and all I just realized atm I am not sure when it happened, but it happened at the vet's and he said he'd take care of the body since there's no way I ...

Re: How do I cope with losing pets - long read, I need hep :

I think I'm really some kinda messed up over this. I'm a guy who is up and about the moment he opens his eyes and I don't need much sleep. I don't need coffee to wake up or anything, I'm up and about the moment I open my eyes and it's awesome so something like what I'm about to describe is unheard o...

You are all good and understanding people I really appreciate all the nice words and advice you've given me, this sure ain't easy to cope with and try as I might to tell myself it's all normal and part of life it's not enough to make that easier, but knowing that people like you guys exist out there...

How do I cope with losing pets - long read, I need hep :(

I apologize for the long read, but I genuinely need help as I'm in a very bad spot in life right now and I think you guys would know a thing or two on how to deal with heavy stuff like this, but before offering advice I would greatly appreciate it if you got to know me a little bit first, so please ...

Re: Should a one eyed cat be kept indoors?

A one eyed cat might be fine but if possible do your best to keep him inside, every cat I've had that was both an indoor and outdoor cat didn't end well. When I was little I had this big, fat dark brown cat at my grandparents, he was completely blind. He was my favorite thing in the world and I'd pl...

Re: I could really use help and advice on further dealing w

Sorry if I'm being annoying, for the sake of keeping track of her I figured I'd post an update. Anastasia is doing amazingly well, she is active, eats normally and well, from what the vet says the peeing over the box is just a behavioral quirk and a taller littlebox will fix it since she doesn't app...

Re: I could really use help and advice on further dealing w

Alright guys, so I just watched her pee, I was right next to her. She got inside her litter box as always, she was in perfectly well as she normally is but it all sprayed outside. I don't understand why this is happened, her positioning doesn't seem to be any different from what it normally is, she ...

Re: I could really use help and advice on further dealing w

Thanks for your response, I hope your cat gets better soon, I know how hard it is to deal with this kinda stuff. I tried mixing water in with the food, different amounts of water, just a few drops to moisturize the food, warm, cold, but it's a no go, something that even remotely doesn't resemble wha...

Re: I could really use help and advice on further dealing w

Thanks guys, you're all so nice and helpful every time but we're dealing with a rather stubborn cat here :) leaving the tap to drip used to work but not any more, she only liked it while it was dripping for a while, now even that's off the menu. I'd buy a fountain but she doesn't so much as approach...

Re: I could really use help and advice on further dealing w

The biggest problem with mine is her water drinking issues. Now she is at a point where she simply won't drink water from anything, tap water included. She comes up to the faucet, wants to drink, but the moment you turn it on she looks away and stays that way, completely frozen, I've left her there ...

Re: I could really use help and advice on further dealing w

The new vet said she will look into the Semintra thing, I hope importing it to my country won't be a problem but I somehow doubt that. She also said the anemia wasn't so bad and that the cat was just dehydrated after giving her a thorough check up. In other news Anastasia seems to have made a comple...

I could really use help and advice on further dealing w CRF

Hey guys, I apologize up front for the long post and for my first post on these new forums being about something negative like this but I could really use any and all advice you have as vets in my country are rather incompetent at offering any substantial help or advice it seems. I made a fairly len...
