My cat "Brownie" loves to eat apples, I was thinking to give her applesauce but I read in this post that applesauce may be hazardous for cats' health. If this is true then, is apple also hazardous for cats?

Hi
A simple google search shows that apples are safe, as with anything that is 'human foods' high sugar content isn't good for cats, but a little shouldn't do any harm.

You could make your own apple sauce, just stew up a little apple for her with nothing added but a little water. Funny tastes like that can be really useful if you ever need to medicate her! I'm currently giving mine metacam in a tiny smidge of mayonnaise every morning. I don't think apple is harmful, just keep the amount small. Also stewed apple with a little more water could be useful in hot weather to get some extra fluids into her.
