Stroke

Post by 4cats »

My cat, Akulina, had a stroke Fri. pm. The vet gave her haperin and told me if she didn't improve to think of putting her down. She has improved over the weekend. I have an appt. Tue. with the Vet to get her checked out again. I have been doing alot of reading on line. She had an x-ray which showed an enlarged heart. Her CPK was elevated. Just wondering if anyone has run into this and what they did.

Hi and welcome. Sorry I’ve not experience of this, but I do hope Akulina is ok.

I've no experience of strokes or heart problems in cats. I would have thought that strokes in cats like in humans come in a variety of severity with differing chances of recovery.

I'm hoping that Akulina was one she could recover from with the correct treatment.

Please keep us updated.
