Help! Can fit change this much? Could these cat be the same cat?

I’ve been missing a cat and came across this cat that looks extremely similar with some same markings but.. the fur is a bit different. My cat has been gone for a few months in a different environment and diet so I’m hoping it’s my panda.

Opinions?

The face and nose looks totally different to me and no a cat's markings would not change like that in a few weeks and definitely not because of a change of diet.

Sadly I would say not, the nose is different, and the black marking that seems to wrap round one of the legs is only on Cat B. There may be other differences, but hard to say with the different angles

I have to agree that black marking on the nose and on the front paws looks different to me as well. I know it is hard when a cat goes missing and how much you want them back, but I really don't think that one is yours, so it might be that someone else is missing them. I would suggest getting either a vet or a charity to check for a chip as that might help get him home.

I would also suggest if you haven't already, as looking at the photo, it seems you also have another cat, get them chipped as soon as possible that way it will prevent this type of uncertainty if they go walk about as well.

Hello guys! New to this forum, but also have 2 cats whom I love enormously!

Looking at those cats, these 2 are different but if the second one is homeless and feels good at your place then maybe you should consider leaving it? Although I do hope that you will find the lost one.
