Sellotape addiction?

Is this normal? Every time my cat hears me using sellotape he goes absolutely crazy. Meowing and yowling at me, jumping up to try and get to it. I've caught him eating sellotape in the past, if he's found it on something, but I do try and keep him away from it. It worries me because he doesn't just lick it, he swallows it. Anyone else have this problem?

Not heard of this one before. They're odd creatures aren't they!? Do stop him from eating it though, it may end up blocking his gut, and there's no telling what's in the glue.
