Post by laura1959 »

Hi ,I have been looking after a cat for several weeks ,that appeared in my flat we kept putting him out but he kept coming back,we eventually took him to the vets to see if he was micro chipped,he was but owners had moved away my boyfriend did think of taking him home but has now said he doesn't think its a good idea as the cat would be on its own all day and at weekends ,so I now need a telephone number please of a cat protection /shelter in east London who can take him in please ??? :(

Hi Laura1959, here’s a list of rescues in the E London area:

There’s also a full list of rescues in all areas if you click on the link at the bottom of the R & Rehoming section on this forum.

This information may also help:

You'll find most will be full, especially as this is kitten season - keep trying and most will have a waiting list, so ask for him to be put on it. Good luck. :)
