Just seen an interesting programme about investigations into the causes of kidney disease in cats. The research is being done in Japan. They have discovered that in a high number of cats with CKD have a virus, Feline Morbillovirus, which attacks kidney cells.
They are trying to develop a vaccination and/or anti viral treatments to prevent or cure kidney disease. That's something to celebrate. I just wonder if they will consider the antiviral properties of coconut oil - Purdy loves it!

I'm glad to see more research being done into feline diseases
I should especially like to see a cause of the increase in HT in cats investigated
the other biggie is a reliable vaccine against FIP, and/or a cure
