Vibes for Freddie

Post by bobbys girl »

Hi guys, just a quick ask. I have to go out for a while but I'm a little worried about Freddie. He is unusually quiet this morning. No injuries, no raised or lowered temperature, just quiet and more importantly for Fred, not eating!

OH will keep an eye on him, but I would appreciate you good vibes heading his way.

I have just got back. He is in the same spot outside that he was when I went. OH has tried him with food and drink, but he took neither. That's not like our Fred. :( :?

I am going to look up where the emergency vet is today, just in case. I am starting to get really worried now. He doesn't seem 'ill', but he is just not himself. Billy and the others are all fine.

Do you think he's made one of those kitten mistakes, like eating a shrew - or, well, I'm sure you'll have checked him, has he picked up a tick? I had a very large lively terrier who was once quite quiet and poorly with a tick.

DO hope he feels better soon - lots of love and hugs and good luck xxx

Just back from the emergency vets in Ballyshannon. His temperature is 'on the high side of normal' and we had noticed a little discharge from his nose and slightly gooey eyes. All very slight - but just not our Freddie.

Lovely vet gave him a shot of AB's and anti - inflammatory and I have some Betamox drops for him. He didn't want to come out of the carrier, so he is asleep in there right now. Fingers crossed we have caught whatever it is and he is back to stealing Billy's food ASAP! :D

Lilith - I did wonder about the shrew :? But in my experience, the shrews around here must be so awful I usually find a whole one on the doorstep - 'here you are mum, I don't want it!'

Hope he's improving now - they always do these things out of hours don't they?

Big fuss to him and the rest of the gang x

Well he's had something to eat and a big drink, gone for a little wander around the garden with Billy, bought back a cobweb and several birch catkins in his tail and now he has chosen to sleep in the cat carrier! He is still not back up to speed, but improving.

Fingers crossed, he is over the worst of whatever it was. Thanks guys for your support. :D

Hi no what your going thru with Freddie .. it’s been nearly a year when I had that scare with Gentley Bentley & had to take him to Cat Clinic where he stayed for 2 nights. And like Freddie he was not interested in food, very high temp & slept in carrier. He’d only been with me a couple of months after being surrendered following his adoption. Hope Freddie’s well & truely on the road to recovery. Vivian & the Famous Five from Oz.

Glad Freddie is a bit better. Fingers crossed he continues to improve. Catkins seem to be specially attracted to fluffy cat tails - just had to comb a lot out of Tilly's tail.

I am delighted to report that Freddie is back to his usual ever-hungry, cuddle bunny self. You'd never know there had been anything wrong with him! Ooh what a worry. Thank for your comments and support for his very worried mummy.
