Animal Rescue Charity (ARC) (The)

Based in Bishop’s Stortford. Animals are given a safe haven, and are protected until their problems can be solved. A no-kill policy is in operation. High quality veterinary care is given to the animals as needed. New homes for domestic animals are carefully selected, and wildlife are rehabilitated to their natural habitat. Cat Welfare (Luton)

Based in Luton, helping cats across Beds and Herts. Cat Welfare Luton is a small home based rescue that prioritises ferals, strays, poorly and injured cats. They socialise feral kittens for rehoming and TNR/relocate adult cats. The majority of their cats and kittens have had a difficult life and need forever homes with new owners that are understanding of their past. All cats and kittens are neutered, chipped and vaccinated, unless under 4 months old then new owners are asked to adhere to a strict neutering policy and get them neutered by 4/5 months old. Kittens are only rehomed in pairs.
Help! Cat Food or Litter Needed: Adoption fees rarely cover costs, so donations of cat food or litter, it will help secure a place for a new cat or kitten in need.

Heathlands Animal Sanctuary

Based in Royston, Hertfordshire, Heathlands is run solely by volunteers dedicated to the rescue, rehabilitation and rehoming of unwanted domestic pets. RSPCA - Middlesex North West & South Herts

RSPCA Middlesex North West & South Herts takes in hundreds of unwanted, stray and abandoned animals each year. All cats will be health checked, neutered, given at least one vaccination, flea and worm treatment, microchipped and come with 6 weeks free insurance. Kittens too young to be neutered, will be rehomed with a voucher to cover the cost of this procedure.

Scratching Post (The)

Based in Waltham Abbey, covering Essex, Hertfordshire and Greater London. The Scratching Post rely solely on charitable donations to help with their rescue and rehoming work. Their policy is to ensure that no cat is ever kept in unsuitable accommodation while it is waiting for a home. All cats are vet checked, vaccinated, treated for fleas and worms, given any other necessary veterinary treatment, and neutered if old enough (kittens homed with a neutering agreement). Cinnamon Trust - Homes Needed UK Wide
Cat Fosterers and permanent homes always needed. The Cinnamon Trust (the National Charity for the elderly, the terminally ill and their pets, Reg. charity. 293399) are looking for more volunteer homes throughout the UK. Pet free homes are needed for short-term fostering of cats whose owners are in hospital or respite care. Permanent homes needed for cats whose owners have died or who are no longer able to care for them. The Cinnamon Trust is not a rescue shelter and cannot take unwanted cats in.
