Community Cats Network

Covering Cork. Community Cats Network has no rescue centre, and is not a rescuing organisation. They are primarily concerned with trap, neuter and return for feral colonies. However, they usually have a number of cats and kittens looking for good homes as a result of their work. All cats are neutered or spayed prior to rehoming (Community Cats Network uses vets that practice early neutering). Home checks will be carried out prior to adoption. An adoption donation is required.

Cork Animal Care Society

Based in Kilmichael. Cork Animal Care Society does their best to take in any animal in need, regardless of origin breed or health. All are vaccinated, flea treated and wormed, and given any other required treatment, before being rehomed. Neutering is carried out unless too young, in which case a deferred neuter date is contractually agreed. If no suitable home can be found animals can remain in the safety and comfort of the shelter.

Cork Cat Action Trust

Covering Munster. Cork CAT is dedicated to the health, well-being and welfare of cats feral and domestic, stray, and abandoned. Cork Cat Action Trust is a very small group of volunteers who are trying to help address the crisis of feral cats that need to be neutered and thereby put a halt to the number of feral kittens being born. Their organisation is composed of unpaid volunteers who pay their own expenses. All funds raised go to neutering of cats and caring for those that they are able to help.

Based in Mahon. The Cork Society for the Prevention of Cruelty to Animals provides a refuge for stray and unwanted animals. Please get in touch if you can offer a loving permanent home.

Homeless Animal Rescue Team (H.A.R.T)

A network of fosterers based in Cork County, providing rescue, rehabilitation and rehoming for abandoned cats and other animals. All cats are vaccinated, microchipped and neutered prior to adoption. Those too young will be rehomed on agreement for neutering when old enough.

Limerick Feral Cats

Covering Limerick county. Helping feral cats primarily through trap, neuter and return to their home location. Good farm homes are always needed for neutered, healthy adult feral cats that are unwanted. Please Note: All kittens for rehoming are tame, friendly and have been reared in a home environment. Rural Animal Welfare Resources (RAWR)

Covering West Cork. RAWR is not a rescuing organisation, they are primarily concerned with neutering animal companions and giving advice and support to people needing to re-home vaccinated and neutered pets and strays. However, RAWR usually have a number of cats looking for good homes as a result of their work. They have no rescue centre, so cats are cared for by volunteers until a new home can be found. Their adoption fees include age-appropriate vaccinations, FIV/FeLV tests, spaying/neutering and deworming.

Tigger Trust (The)

Based in Co. Kerry. Caring for and finding homes for unwanted and abandoned animals in the Kerry area. Adopters are required to complete an adoption form at the time of taking on an animal, and a follow up call is made to ensure that both the owner and animal are happy.

Tipp-Off Animal Rescue
