Banbury Animal Rescue and Kindness Service (B.A.R.K.S.)

Rescuing and rehoming in North Oxfordshire & parts of Buckinghamshire, Northamptonshire & Warwickshire. BARKS takes in stray & unwanted cats, kittens, rabbits & guinea pigs and finds them good, caring, approved homes. The animals are cared for by fosterers until new homes are found. Prospective adopters are subject to a home visit and an adoption fee is payable, (a non-refundable deposit is required if you wish to reserve a cat or kitten). BARKS receives no grants or funding, so all costs are covered by adoption fees, donations & fundraising.

Blue Cross - Burford Rehoming Centre

Covering Beds, Bucks, Northants and Herts. Since 1972 HULA ('Home for Unwanted and Lost Animals'), have provided a refuge for abandoned or unwanted animals until they can be re-homed. Stray Animal Fund (The)

Covering Northamptonshire. The Stray Animal Fund was set up in 2008 by a team from Northampton, wanting to help and re-home stray cats. They believe education, neutering and raising the level of animal welfare, is key to a better future for our feline friends. All cats will be neutered before rehoming, and if too young, this will be funded when they are old enough.

They operate a non-destruction policy. All adult cats are neutered prior to adoption, and kittens are rehomed with a neutering voucher/contract. Young kittens are only rehomed in pairs to homes with no children under 5 years. Homechecks are carried out, and animals will not be adopted to homes on busy roads. Indoor-only homes are needed for cats with special needs.

Cat Fosterers and permanent homes always needed. The Cinnamon Trust (the National Charity for the elderly, the terminally ill and their pets, Reg. charity. 293399) are looking for more volunteer homes throughout the UK. Pet free homes are needed for short-term fostering of cats whose owners are in hospital or respite care. Permanent homes needed for cats whose owners have died or who are no longer able to care for them. The Cinnamon Trust is not a rescue shelter and cannot take unwanted cats in.
