Overlooked Cats: North Yorkshire

Oh, hello, are you looking for a new feline friend? Could you read my story and see if we could be perfect together? I am a 4 year old, neutered, lass and have been here for more than 6 months, the rescue have done all they can to make me feel safe following the loss of my owner and my world being turned upside down. Lots of TLC has meant that I am now a purry lap cat who loves to play with my toys and my fosterer. I am getting used to meeting new people, I like to give their feet a sniff to check their character. My ideal home would be quiet, no children or dogs and I am content as an indoor cat as long as I get plenty of time to play. I might be able to live with another cat and would like only one or two people who will build trust with me. I can promise that in return for this I will reward your efforts with lots of snuggles and provide plenty of entertainment with a piece of dangly ribbon.

Hi everyone, I am the adorable Pumpkin. I am 3 years old, neutered and came into the rescue after being offered as 'free to a good home' on the internet; the rescue felt unsafe about leaving me, so found me a spot with them. I was utterly terrified of everything when I arrived, I have made great strides with the love of my fosterer, but will likely regress a little when I am in my forever home; so, I need someone who won't be put off and who will be patient with me. Hello there, my name is Albi. I am almost 7 years old, chipped, neutered and vaccinated and I need your help to find my new indoor home. My foster mum says that I am demanding and affectionate and she wants everyone to know that i don't like to be ignored when I want some fusses. I am a bigger lad who loves a lap cuddle, once I get to know you and I have a very loud purr; I also love my food and will always remind you about dinner time, especially if I think you might be in danger of being late. My new home would need to have some blankets for me as I like to bury myself away when I am nervous. My only dislike is belly rubs; I will occasionally try to catch you out by flopping on the floor, just to make sure you are paying attention; if you are looking for a sweet lad to be your new companion then I think I am the chap for you, and if you can't be my one, just tell everyone where you saw me.

How do you do, my name is Nigel. I am around 6 years old, although being a stray, I didn't really keep count. I was known in the area as a stray and efforts had been made to find my owner, with no luck. I had sore ears and some head wounds when I arrived and was given antibiotic cream, but in the end I had to be shaved to clean and treat the painful wounds; likely gained though being an un-neutered tom who had to fight for territory, food and women. I am neutered now and have made a full recovery, I am just a little raggedy around the edges and I have my paws crossed that it won't put anyone off from offering me the loving home I need. Hello there, my name is Terry. I am around 2-3 years old and am a very clever chap - you see, I got here all by myself! I managed to find my own way to the rescue, I would appear at night but didn't want to be approached; slowly I began to appear during the day and showed them that I really needed help as I wasn't in very good condition. I was caught in a hand trap and taken to be checked out, unsurprisingly I appeared to have no owner and was very wary of people, I was not microchipped and no-one came forward for me. Off I went to be neutered and chipped, I was also given a spruce up as I hadn't been grooming myself, but the fresh start has allowed me to keep on top of everything now. My wariness is still there, but I do let the people get a little closer each day and the hope is that in a settled home I will blossom. How do you do; my name is Steve, I am around 7 months old and neutered. I arrived at the rescue with my siblings, having been rescued from a foxhole. I was terrified when I first arrived as I had only been with my mother and siblings for 3 months; slowly I became more friendly, I am still a little shy, but once I get to know you I will be fine. When I arrived I quickly met Parker, who has become a father figure, keeping us all in check as we grew bigger; he and I are particularly close and would like to find a home together. Parker and I would like a home where we can go outside in a quiet, more rural area. Parker is around 2-3 years old and he has been neutered too; he had spent his time as a feral cat, just like myself, it has taken time and patience for him to come around, but he will allow strokes now and in the right, patient home, we will become fully domesticated cats. We've been waiting over a year... Please pick us! Greetings to you; we are Snow and Harrison, both black and white and we are brothers. Toby is our ginger coated best pal and we have all our paws crossed that we can find a home as a trio. We are all between 2 and 4 years old and have been neutered. Snow and I were found near a waste disposal site, not all kittens get to leave there, so we are super happy to have the fresh start. Toby lived in the next door pen to us and wanted more company and we bonded. I've been waiting over a year... Please pick me! Ooh hello! I wonder if you are looking for a cuddle bug to call your own? My name is Oscar and I am 8 years old. I was being fed by a very kind person for some time and they asked for help to find me a home; would you believe that I was a missing cat and had been wandering for 7 years. Sadly my owner was unable to take me back and so asked that the rescue help me find my new person. I am a quiet and shy chap, lacking some confidence, but I am a champion cuddler and give pretty good kisses too.
