FIV pillow feet

Post by Foster fail »

Does anyone have any advice for dealing with 'pillow feet' flare ups :? Generally Williams feet are classic pillows (comes with the FIV) but this evening it looks like one of the pillow pads has grown a new smaller bit to the side of the pad. He's not limping or taking any notice of it but it looks very odd - we'll go to the vets Monday, but just wondered if anyone of the cat chat FIV experienced members had experience of this - thanks in advance for any assistance.

Feline plasma cell pododermatitis does happen with FIV but also can happen to a cat without FIV. That is not the cause of the pillow feet. Unfortunately, because the pads are infected when they are inflamed, you want to be very cautious what touches them. Some cats enjoy ice or a fan blowing on their pads when they are swollen. You can try that.
