We brought a full grown 1-2 year old neutered male home from my sister's farm three days ago. He has been an inside/outside cat which suits us. We kept him inside for a day or so and he wanted to go outside so badly that we gave in. He has been coming back for food but really likes to spend time at the neighbor who has a friendly dog and two cats which is the animal environment he was used to. Any thoughts on how to discourage him going over there? Or encourage him to hang over here more. Leave food outside for him here?

You really need to keep him in longer for him to get used to his new surroundings
