Caring for Cats, Yorkshire & Humber

Covering Hull, Beverley, York, Driffield and the wider Yorkshire & Humber region. Caring for Cats is a small non-profit cat rescue and rehoming charity, rehoming over 450 animals a year. Each cat and kitten receives blood testing (FIV and FeLV), a full veterinary examination, vaccinations, flea/worming treatment, microchipping, neutering and four weeks free insurance, all for a nominal homing fee. All cats and kittens are neutered by the charity before rehoming. Kittens are returned to the charity for neutering at 4 1/2 months, costs included in the rehoming fee. Suitability checks are carried out to ensure successful adoptions. Caring for Cats also runs a long-term foster program for sick & elderly cats. The charity operates a No-kill ethic.

Based in Scarborough, helping cats in need across North and East Yorkshire. Rescuing stray and feral cats and kittens whose health and / or well-being is in danger. They will receive round-the-clock care at the sanctuary, and receive any vet treatment needed until they are ready to be adopted. Harrogate Cat Rescue

Based in Goole. Whilst working closely with the national society, the branch is reliant on their own fundraising to helping and caring for local animals. All work is carried out by volunteers. A home visit is carried out prior to adoption. If you are wishing to adopt a cat or kitten, contact the branch to arrange the visit. Based in Hull, covering a 25-mile radius north of the river. Small Pet & Cat Care are a charity that provides healthcare and re-homing services to stray, abandoned, sick or injured and unwanted small animals and cats throughout Hull and East Yorkshire. They aim to re-home all of their foster animals once they are well enough to leave. Those animals that cannot be rehomed will be offered a home for life with the team of foster carers. Cinnamon Trust - Homes Needed UK Wide
Cat Fosterers and permanent homes always needed. The Cinnamon Trust (the National Charity for the elderly, the terminally ill and their pets, Reg. charity. 293399) are looking for more volunteer homes throughout the UK. Pet free homes are needed for short-term fostering of cats whose owners are in hospital or respite care. Permanent homes needed for cats whose owners have died or who are no longer able to care for them. The Cinnamon Trust is not a rescue shelter and cannot take unwanted cats in.
