Based around Stroud, the 5 Valley Cat Rescue has been helping farm, feral, old, disabled and stray cats since the start of 2002, gaining charity status in mid 2003. They rescue cats in need, provide veterinary care where needed and rehome where possible. The group is also concerned with trapping, neutering and returning feral cats, to humanely control the population. If you can offer a loving home to a domestic cat or kitten, or could offer a semi-feral cat a home on a farm, stable or smallholding, please give them a call.

Bristol and Wales Cat Rescue rehomes cats and kittens to adopters within a 50 mile radius, but can only take cats in from Bristol. All potential adopters are homechecked or must supply a letter of reference from their vet. Cat Fosterers and permanent homes always needed. The Cinnamon Trust (the National Charity for the elderly, the terminally ill and their pets, Reg. charity. 293399) are looking for more volunteer homes throughout the UK. Pet free homes are needed for short-term fostering of cats whose owners are in hospital or respite care.
