RSPCA - Sir Harold Harmsworth Memorial Hospital

Every year, large numbers of needy animals are admitted to the Harmsworth Animal Hospital, mostly cats and dogs, but can include rabbits, birds, reptiles, amphibians and wildlife. Many of the animals are brought to the hospital by RSPCA inspectors and Animal Collection Officers as well as by members of the public. Animals are vet checked, before being rehomed through a network of animal centres.

Harmsworth Animal Hospital does not rehome directly from the hospitals. Please contact other RSPCA branches for animals looking for new homes.
Neutering Assistance: The Harmsworth also offers low cost neutering for those receiving state benefit.
Low Cost Veterinary Treatment: A subsidised (not free) veterinary service is available for animals whose owners meet certain criteria (See website for details).

Cat Fosterers and permanent homes always needed. The Cinnamon Trust (the National Charity for the elderly, the terminally ill and their pets, Reg. charity. 293399) are looking for more volunteer homes throughout the UK. Pet free homes are needed for short-term fostering of cats whose owners are in hospital or respite care. Permanent homes needed for cats whose owners have died or who are no longer able to care for them. The Cinnamon Trust is not a rescue shelter and cannot take unwanted cats in.
