Based in Anglesey. A team of volunteers committed to rescuing, caring for and re-homing cats and kittens in the Anglesey area. ADFSR also rehabilitate ferals so they can have forever homes. All cats and kittens are treated for worms and fleas, and those over 5 months old will be neutered before rehoming (those too young will be homed under agreement to neuter when ready).

Based in Wrexham. A small foster based cat rescue, covering a 20km radius of Wrexham (which includes Whitchurch and South Denbighshire). Rehabilitating and rehoming stray and feral cats into loving homes, or quiet farms, stables and smallholdings. All cats will be neutered before rehoming. Candy and Tibby Trust also offer welfare guidance to the general public.

Cats Protection - Wrexham Adoption Centre

Registered Charity no. 203644
Based in Wrexham covering Chester, Flintshire, Denbighshire and North Shropshire areas. This small Adoption Centre takes in stray and abandoned cats and kittens, and provides a rehoming service for owners who are no longer able to care for their cat. The Centre homes hundreds of cat each year but currently operates a waiting list for cats coming into care. All cats are vet checked, neutered, vaccinated, microchipped, treated for fleas and worms and come with four weeks free insurance (T&C’s apply). The Centre also hires out humane traps to allow ferals to be trapped, neutered and returned to site. Free Education talks can be arranged.

Freshfields Animal Rescue Centre

Based in Caernarfon. Affiliated to the Freshfields centre in Merseyside, this centre often has around 50 cats waiting for a new home. They are also a sanctuary for unwanted horses and ponies. All cats are neutered prior to rehoming.

Based in Prestatyn. Rescue & re-homing of unwanted and abandoned animals, mainly cats and dogs, but also other pets when needed. All cats are neutered, vaccinated, flead and wormed prior to homing, and all prospective homes are vetted to ensure mutual suitability for both animal and environment.

Senior Kittizens: As well as permanent homes, their “Caring and Sharing” programme caters for elderly or sick animals which cannot be found permanent homes. These animals are placed in permanent foster homes, but the charity pays for all vets fees and special diets.

Cinnamon Trust - Homes Needed UK Wide
Cat Fosterers and permanent homes always needed. The Cinnamon Trust (the National Charity for the elderly, the terminally ill and their pets, Reg. charity. 293399) are looking for more volunteer homes throughout the UK. Pet free homes are needed for short-term fostering of cats whose owners are in hospital or respite care. Permanent homes needed for cats whose owners have died or who are no longer able to care for them. The Cinnamon Trust is not a rescue shelter and cannot take unwanted cats in.
