The Cat Action Trust works towards making a better life for all cats with a particular interest in feral / farm cats. Covering Soth East somerset. This branch rehomes mostly through St Giles Kennels, Wrantage. Taunton TA3 6DJ - but they do have a few foster pens for kittens or emergencies. The branch carries out a lot of welfare work in the area, and is always in need of donations and extra helpers. The branch run a small foster cattery unit near Yeovil where all cats and kittens are assessed and prepared for rehoming by a number of dedicated volunteers. RSPCA - West Hatch Animal Centre

Based in Taunton. West Hatch care for and re-home a vast array of animals, from mice, rats, gerbils, etc. to cats, dogs, birds and horses. They rehome on average 2,000 animals per year. The cattery holds 72 cats, and is nearly always full, so your chances of finding the perfect cat for you are very good indeed. Cinnamon Trust - Homes Needed UK Wide
Cat Fosterers and permanent homes always needed. The Cinnamon Trust (the National Charity for the elderly, the terminally ill and their pets, Reg. charity. 293399) are looking for more volunteer homes throughout the UK. Pet free homes are needed for short-term fostering of cats whose owners are in hospital or respite care. Permanent homes needed for cats whose owners have died or who are no longer able to care for them. The Cinnamon Trust is not a rescue shelter and cannot take unwanted cats in.
